William Carl Jackson

Bill Jackson, formerly of Connecticut, but most recently residing in Monroe, NC, entered Life Eternal on March 14, 2022 surrounded by members of his loving family. Bill was born in Bridgeport, CT on February 25, 1950 to George and Pauline Jackson. During his youth, the family moved to Milford, where Bill enjoyed Boy Scouts, sailing and other outdoor activities - hobbies that stayed with him into adulthood. Once he was old enough, his interest in motorcycles grew into his life’s passion. He was fond of riding, repairing and rebuilding his beloved Harleys. He made several pilgrimages to various major Bike Week events across the country.

As a member of the AA community for nearly 45 years, Bill established many lifelong friendships and mentored countless others along their own paths of recovery. His family has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support, love and respect from so many who have been positively impacted by Bill’s presence in their lives.

Bill is survived by his four children, Nicole Yesne (Jeff) of Prather, CA, Ray Silvernale (Mary) of Trumbull, CT, Shari Tingley (Kevin) of Prospect, CT, Brandy Jackson of Lynchburg, VA, eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Matthew Mills and granddaughter, Vanessa Silvernale.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s memory may be made to the Shriners’ Hospital or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital
