Steven M Magura Sr.

Steven M. Magura Sr., 63, of Prospect passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, May 20, 2021. Steve was born October 28, 1957 in Bridgeport, CT, a son of the late George Magura and Constance (Supinski) Magura.

Steve recently retired from a lifelong career as a helicopter engineer at Sikorsky Aircraft. Working on helicopters is an exact, precise career, skills which lent itself to his hobby of carpentry.  He enjoyed creating; he built his previous home on Cardinal Lane from scratch.  Steve loved fishing, even more so if his grandchildren were fishing with him.  Family was most important to Steve.  He will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish his memory, love and legacy are his children Amanda Magura of Wallingford, Cheyenne Magura of Naugatuck and Steven Magura and his wife Jaimee of Naugatuck, his cherished grandchildren Zachary, Jorden and Lilliana, and his brother George Magura of Prospect, his step-children Alicia Teska of MA, and Jessica Sattani of FL,  nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents George and Constance, his brothers Joseph, Frank and John,  and his sister Maryanne Magura.

Funeral services for Steve will be held on Friday May 28, 2021 at 11 am at Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Rd, Prospect.  Burial will immediately follow at Prospect Cemetery.  Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 28, 2021 from 10 am until the time of the service.
