Sheila Windischman of Prospect, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love of her family on November 19, 2025. Born October 12, 1949 in Waterbury, she was a daughter of the late Leon and Cecile (Gagnon) Lavallee. Sheila devoted her life to caring for others- both as a dedicated nurse and as the center of her family, her compassion, strength, and gentle kindness touched countless lives.
Sheila is lovingly remembered by her husband Skip, her son Jeff and his wife Heidi and her daughter Sara as well as her grandchildren: Amanda and her husband Paul, Sam and her husband Jose, Jeffrey and Bailey. Sheila also leaves her cherished great grandchildren Jaxon and Ari. She was also blessed with two bonus granddaughters Jessica and Jamie Edwards.
Arrangements: Visitation Monday, November 24, 2025 from 5pm to 6:30pm at Prospect Memorial / The Palmerie Family Funeral Home, 122 Waterbury Rd., Prospect. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 6:30pm at the funeral home. Prospect Memorial/ The Palmerie Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements and to care for the Windischman family throughout their grief journey.
