Rudolph Dickens, 73, of Waterbury passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at the Vitas Unit of St. Mary’s Hospital. He was the widower of Bennie (Wilkins) Dickens. Rudy was born August 11, 1947 in Tarboro, NC a son of the late James D. and Marie (Haywood) Dickens.
Rudolph was a meter reader for Northeast Utilities before his retirement. He was a devoted member of Zion Baptist Church and a Free Mason of the King Solomon...

March 9, 2021 7:32 PMMy big teddy bear uncle every time your name is mentioned to me it always made me happy because all that know you have never had a single bad word nor thought of you. You made it easy to say that’s my uncle and proud to tell anyone whether asked or not about the influence you had in me being who I am today and the wishes and desire for you to feel the same about what you have taught me. I will never be able to fill your shoes but know I put fertilizer on them everyday with the intent to be the man you are and will always be. It’s said that Jesus doesn’t pick wilted flowers for his father and that’s done out of respect for his father my God. Well we have given him the strongest most dedicated and thriving flower he could ever put in his garden. Unc rest knowing your tutorlidge and knowledge has been well received and always reciprocated.
