Rosemary Marinaccio Obituary

Rosemary Marinaccio, 96, formerly of Waterbury, passed away peacefully while embraced in the love of her family on Friday, December 6, 2024 at Cook Willow Nursing and Rehab Center.  Rosemary was the widow of the late Vincent Gualtieri and William Marinaccio.  Born January 16, 1928 in Waterbury, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Mae (Dinova) Fitzpatrick.

Rosemary was a woman of great faith.  In her younger years she was a member of All Saints parish.  As her health declined, she would be sure to watch mass every morning on tv, her rosaries in hand.  While raising her family, she instilled and demonstrated faith in all circumstances: joy, sickness, adversity and abundance.  Rosemary also enjoyed reading and completing puzzles. She loved traveling and vacationing as a family.  By far, Rosemary’s greatest joy was her grandchildren.  She thoroughly enjoyed every minute with them, laughing, catching up on their lives and just being together.

Left to honor and cherish Rosemary’s love and memory are her children: Susan Zailskas and her husband Raymond of Farmington, Beth Borlase and her husband Paul Gavin of Ma., Vincent Gualtieri and his wife Lisa of Terryville and A. Edward Marinaccio and his partner Karen of Waterbury.  She also leaves her cherished grandchildren Matthew and Melissa Gualteiri and Anthony and Mary Marinaccio.  Rosemary is predeceased by her first husband Vincent Gualtieri and second husband William Marinaccio.

As per Rosemary’s wishes all services will be private.  Prospect Memorial/ The Palmerie Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with Rosemary’s services and to care for her family during this difficult time.  Please share your favorite photos, memories and words of comfort on Rosemary’s tribute wall on this website.
