Ronald Labbe Obituary

Ronald (aka Pete) Labbe, age 75, passed away Monday, December 15, 2025 at his home in Oakville, CT. Ronald was born May 26,1950 in Van Buren, ME, a son of the late Irma (Chareste) Labbe and Fernand Labbe.

Pete is survived by his faithful and loving wife of 45 years, Joanne (McLean) Labbe and his two sons, Christopher Labbe and his wife Julia Labbe of Sioux Falls, SD and Brett Labbe of Danbury, CT, whom he loved dearly. He also leaves behind one granddaughter, Cora Mae Labbe. Pete is also survived by his brothers and sisters; Carol (Labbe) Perrotti , Debbie (Labbe) Adamo, Keith Labbe (Josephine) and Lori Labbe. He had many nieces, nephews, and in-laws who will miss him dearly.

Pete went to school in Watertown, CT and built a successful career in the shipping department at Eyelematic Mfg. Co. where he diligently worked for 35 years to support his family. He enjoyed playing horseshoes and he loved to get together with others to play cards.

In 2013, Pete suffered a stroke at his home. It was difficult for him to talk to others, and he could no longer drive a car, but that didn’t stop him from attending picnics or events. He retired from working due to this disability, but he stayed strong. He started attending Gateway bible church with his wife and loved to go there for their Sunday services. He was a generous soul who would spend the weeks before Christmas filling children’s shoeboxes for those in need and in this way was able to share the love of Jesus with them and their families. Pete was faithfully cared for by his wife for the last twelve years of his life. We know God has Pete in His loving arms.
