Beloved husband, son, brother and friend
Ron Manzoori, 63, of Seymour, passed away on March 24, 2026. Born on August 19, 1962, he was the son of the late Reza Manzoori and Afagh Mashid.
Ron was the most beloved husband and soulmate of Susan Liscinsky, with whom he shared a deep and enduring love. He also leaves to cherish his memory besides his loving wife Sue and his mother Afagh, his sons Andrew and Matthew Manzoori, stepdaughter Stephanie Randall and fiancé Charles Baugh, stepson Brett Liscinsky, his grandchildren Michaela Randall (Micky Blue Eyes) and William Randall (Mr. Wick), sister Dr. Mashid Manzoori, brother Kamaran Manzoori and his best friend Scott Craig. Ron is predeceased by his father Reza and his son Jonathan Manzoori
He arrived in American in 1980 and studied at Brown University in Rhode Island where he learned the ways of an American Teen enjoying his TransAm driving his friends everywhere. Later he would move to Connecticut and continue his studies at the University of New Haven earning his bachelor’s degree and then built a career in sales, where his personality and honesty left a lasting impression on many. Not soon after moving to Connecticut he met his first wife Candie Caruso and became a father of three wonderful boys. During these years he worked full time at Rent A Center where he met his best friend Scott. After his divorce he and Scott went into business together and opened Premier Rent to Own in Naugatuck. Full of life and energy, Ron was known for his fun-loving spirit and colorful sense of humor and sarcasm. He was frank, genuine, and always spoke from the heart. He had a passion for sports and was an avid fan of the Miami Dolphins. Yet a lot of you will remember his “amazing” singing voice at any local karaoke place, or at an Elvis show, where he met Carol and Brian Martin, who were responsible for introducing him to the love of his life, Sue. He wed Sue in October 1st of 2017 and was a doting husband (FJ), and hopeless romantic always. The blending of family and his grandchildren was his love. The Milestone Inn was his second family, Nancy and Rick! He loved gathering with family taking pictures (even when unwanted), He would always dress to the 9’s in his suits and array of shoes (he had more than Sue)! His love for the smell of a garden and with the garden hose in hand daily, always getting the first plants of the season put in the garden urns around the house for his love and next to his chair by the firepit. Oh and we cannot leave out that he was the King of firepit, get back, Ron’s got firestarter in his hand! He couldn’t wait for camping season to start and enjoyed camping with friends. There was never a dull moment Ron arrived with dad jokes and a Scotch in hand and always remember the bloody mary’s for the morning. The regular gathering on Wednesday afternoons at the Brookside Inn became his fun place after retirement as well as going to see his friends at Train Station who were always there for him.
Above all, Ron will be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, and friend whose presence brought joy and laughter to those around him.
