Roger C. Rasch

Roger C. Rasch, 75, of Prospect, passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Live Well in Southington. He was the loving husband of Mary (Cline) Rasch for over 53 years.

He was born on April 12, 1946 in Buffalo, NY son of the late Raymond and Iva (Beaman) Rasch. Roger received his BS degree from the University of Bridgeport. Prior to his retirement, Roger worked for American Cyanamid/Cytec in Stamford, CT as a Chemist for over 45 years. He also belonged to the Bethel Soccer Association, Bethel High School Sports Booster Club, American Chemical Society, Knights of Columbus in Prospect, the Alzheimer’s Association and the Prospect Senior Center.

Besides his wife Mary, Roger is survived by his children Brenda (Michael) Hart of Franklin, MA; Sarah Mathena of Ruther Glen, VA and Michael (Amanda) Rasch of Sydney, Australia along with six grandchildren Machaela and Alexandria Hart, Ethan and Owen Mathena and Nolan and Tallow Rasch. He also leaves a brother Kenneth (Anne) Rasch of Fairport, NY along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 am on Monday, September 20, 2021 at the St. Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Rd, Newtown. Burial will follow at St. Peters Cemetery, 71 Lake Ave. Ext., Danbury. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 2-5 pm at the Prospect Memorial/Palmerie Family Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Rd, Prospect.
