Roger Thomas Calabro Sr., 76, of Waterbury passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s Hospital while surrounded by the love of his family. Roger was the widower of the late Terri (Lockwood) Calabro. He was born November 14, 1945 in Waterbury, a son of the late Salvatore and Nicolina Calabro.
Roger was an entrepreneur; over the course of his lifetime he owned and operated 4 quite diverse businesses. He truly was a jack of all trades. Roger’s first business was Roger’s Place; a breakfast place. His next business was the “Garage Grinder Shop”. Roger’s sons have many memories of working as young boys for their Dad’s last two businesses Built-Rite Trailers and Park Florist and Gifts which he ran together with Terri, his late wife of over 40 years. Time with family whether working, Sunday meals or vacationing always brought many laughs and joy. Roger will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish Roger’s love and memory are his sons Roger T. Calabro Jr. and his wife Shannon of Burlington and Daniel Calabro of Waterbury as well as Roger’s girlfriend of the past ten years, Carol Lindgren. Roger also leaves his cherished grandchildren Derek and Aiden Calabro, brother Richard Calabro and wife Rhonda of Prospect, and many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Roger was predeceased by his wife Terri, brother Salvatore and sister Diana Gereski.
