Robert Alan Foote, Sr (2/4/1940-5/6/2025)

Robert Alan Foote, Sr., of Southbury, CT (formerly Milford, CT), returned Home to the Lord on May 6, 2025. The loving husband of Jan Foote for 31 years, Bob was a retiree of A&P, having been a store manager for almost 50 years. His hobbies included trains, the Yankees, the Giants, umpiring for local softball leagues, and spending time with his family. Bob always found time to help both strangers and friends alike, silently doing all he could to make the world a better place. He is survived by his wife, Jan, his brother, Harold of Florida, and his six children: Robert (Lisa) of Ohio; Susan St. Pierre (Andy) of Milford; Amy Brooks (Dale) of Middletown; Brian (Nicole) of Derby; Melinda Tarsi-Goldfien (Benjamin) of Mansfield, MA; and Colleen Tarsi of Southbury. He was the loving grandfather of 9, and great-grandfather of 10, and had several nieces and nephews. Bob is predeceased by his parents Katherine (Beers) and Harold Foote; and a brother, Jeffrey, all of Milford. A private family memorial is set for a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to one of Bob’s favorite charities: the Salvation Army, Bridgewater State University Food Pantry, or by donating blood to the Red Cross (of which he was a member of the unofficial Liter Club). The family would like to extend their gratitude towards Waterbury Hospital and AccentCare hospice organization for all their compassion and care.
