Robert “Bob” Davey Curtis passed away May 24, 2024 in Chester, CT at the age of 88.
Bob was born August 30, 1935 in Waterbury, CT to the late Lewis William Curtis and Edith Sorenson Curtis. Bob was a resident of Clinton where he shared his life with his longtime partner, May Wozniak.
He served in the US Air Force and US Army from 1952 to 1956. After his time in the military, Bob got his CDL license and drove for many trucking companies in Connecticut. He traveled across the United States and into Canada.
His love for horses eventually led him to Oklahoma to become a certified Farrier which in turn lead him to Mary. Bob and Mary met while he was shoeing her horse.
Bob was also an avid NASCAR fan. His favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt.
Besides his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brothers Richard Sorenson Curtis, Jonathan William Curtis and David Lewis Curtis. He is survived by his partner Mary Wozniak, sister Nancy Drouin of Arizona, his daughter Deborah Pelletier and her husband Thomas, granddaughters Kelly Pleasant and Stacey Poirier, great-granddaughter Dakota and great-grandson Jonathan.
