Robert Dale Beyer

Robert Dale Beyer, 81, of Waterbury, CT passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, October 13, 2024.  

He was the devoted husband to Sandra (Forino) Beyer. Robert was born February 3, 1943 in Bridgeport and raised in Pine Rock Park, Shelton, CT; son of the late Eric E. Beyer, Sr. and Gladys (Fogg) Beyer.

He proudly served in the US Army. The hard-working Robert held several jobs throughout his life including Wonder Bread, UPS, Seymour Police Department, Sikorsky and retiring from Yale as Security Guard.  He loved vanilla milkshakes, fishing, gardening, birds, spending time with his children and grandchildren and watching Blue Bloods with his furry best friend, Patch.

Bob was the beloved father to Daniel Beyer and his wife Liza, Tanya Beyer and her husband Pete Huzar, step father to Jack, Matt and Michael Walsh, cherished grandfather to Francis and Macie Gilbert, Emily and Jacob Beyer, Jack, Kylie, Logan, Colin and Cameron Walsh, and brother of Bruce and Teresa Beyer and the late Eric Beyer Jr. and Geraldine Beyer.  He was also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to his Mass at 11:30am on Tuesday, October 22, at St. Sebastian Catholic Church on 155 Washington Street, Middletown, CT, followed by Military Honors and inurnment at the State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane Middletown, CT.
