Randy Marek Obituary

Randy Arnold Marek, 33, of Bethany entered the gates of heaven on Sunday, April 16, 2023.  Randy was born May 10, 1989 in Waterbury, a treasured son of Robert J. and Sherry (Riley) Marek.  Randy grew up in the family business of excavation and septic installation.  He was one of the youngest licensed septic installer in the state of Ct at 18 years old.

He was meticulous in his appearance as well as in his work.  At nine years old he began learning and mastering his skillful operation of heavy equipment.  Randy was a hard worker.  After several years of working for the family business, he went on to work at Advanced Paving,

Randy was a family man.  He and his brothers and sisters grew up going to Lake Zoar, boating and water skiing.  Randy loved the outdoors.  He road and raced dirt bikes, swimming, waterskiing and also fishing.

Family was everything to Randy.  Growing up in his big close-knit family brought him laughter, comfort and joy.  Perhaps the best day of his life was the day he and his love, Megan started their own family. They welcomed their baby girl Gianna into their family and hearts eight months ago and she has been the center of his universe ever since.  Gianna has her Daddy’s beautiful blue eyes, watching her grow will bring comfort to Randy’s family; as she is his greatest legacy.

Left to cherish his love and treasure his memory besides his parents Bob and Sherry and his daughter Gianna and girlfriend Megan Cusano are his brothers and sisters: Caitlin and her husband Kyle Tournas of Prospect, Dawn Keetell and her boyfriend Sean Kelly of Prospect, Robert Marek and his wife Rebecca of Beacon Falls and Nickolas Marek of Bethany.  Randy was a favorite uncle of Peyton and Addison Tournas and Riley and Arianna Marek.  Randy will be mourned by his grandparents Robert and Helen Marek and Arnold Riley.  Randy also leaves his uncle William Marek of Bethany and many cousins and friends.

Randy is predeceased by his grandmother June Riley and his uncle Douglas Riley.
