Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister

Petra Bustos 72, of Meriden, entered into the gates of heaven on Christmas Day, December 25th, 2023 while surrounded by the love of her family.  Petra was the beloved mother of Ricardo, Sergio and George Rodrigues and Ernistina Benitez.  Born February 20, 1951 in Mexico, Petra was one 10 children of the late Leonardo Bustos and Maria Beltran.  She was the widow of the late Audocio Roriguez.

Petra was a beautiful mother.  Her world revolved around her family.  She fed everyone very well with her marvelous cooking.  Her hands were very talented.  She sewed, crocheted and embroidered many beautiful things.  Her grandchildren brought her so much joy.  She was blessed to have 18 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.  She also leaves many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 5 to 7pm at Prospect Memorial/ The Palmerie Family Funeral Home, 122 Waterbury Rd. Prospect.  Funeral services will begin promptly at 7pm.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.  Prospect Memorial/ The Palmerie Family Funeral Home is honored to be assisting Petra's family with her funeral arrangements and caring for her family throughout this difficult time of grief.  Please share your words of comfort and support on Petra's Tribute Wall on this website.
