Paul W. Nace, Sr.

Paul W. Nace, Sr., of Bethany, CT passed into the next life on Saturday, December 6, 2025. He leaves behind his beloved wife Hazel, children Ginnie (Ed), Kelly (Brian) and Paul Jr.; his grandchildren Lisa (Bugsy), Robert (Annice), Brianna and Gabby; great grandchildren Joseph, William, and Samual; Brothers Norman Wentz (Helen) and John Nace; sisters Mary Ruby and Ethel Nace; and several nieces, nephews and loving friends. Paul is predeceased by his parents Lucy and Horace, brother Charles Nace, and great-granddaughter Makenna.

Paul was born in Spring Grove, York County, Pennsylvania, in 1940. He grew up on a farm and quickly learned to fix anything and everything. There wasn't much Paul couldn't fix or do.  He became a master mechanic by trade, making a career of working on Heavy Duty Construction equipment as his specialty. He was a 50-year member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 478. He could fix anything with a motor and many things without!

Paul was a proud army veteran who served with the 82nd Airborne Division, earning his Expert Infantry Badge and his Paratrooper Jump Wings.

Paul loved working on cars, building things, traveling, hitting it big at the casino on his birthday, and his nightly ritual of having a bowl of ice cream before bed. Paul was one of a kind and will be missed by all.
