Pamela Marie Trent 65, of Waterbury went home to be with the Lord on June 18, 2025 after a brave and valiant battle with cancer. As she let go of her loving family’s hands, she grasped the hand of Jesus and was welcomed to her everlasting life with Jesus. Born October 21, 1959, she was a devoted daughter of Kathleen (Murphy) Hill and the late John H. Hill III. Pamela leaves to cherish her love and memory her son Joshua Trent of Wa., her mother Kathleen (Murphy) Hill, her sister Robin Soares and her former husband and loving friend Craig Trent. She also leaves her adored nieces, nephew, stepson, cousins and friends.
Pamela was a faithful and faith-filled Christian who actively served in the Living Faith Church in various roles: worship leader, Nursery, Prayer Team, Children’s Church and Mission Trips. She supported many charities with enthusiasm with heart and purse. Pamela graduated from Western Connecticut State University with her Bachelor’s degree and set about on her career as a social worker in the health care field. She spent most of her career working for the State of CT as a claims and eligibility specialist. Her calm and dedication assisted many families in need to assure that their loved ones were safe, lived in stable conditions and received needed medical care. Surely her heart of generosity and service were evident to all her clientele.
Pamela was a loving mother who modeled her Christian discipleship for her son, being the best mother any son could ever hope for. She and Joshua spent many hours singing, praying and enjoying each other’s company. She shared her love and companionship with her family and friends. Her legacy of love, service and joy in the lord will be forever honored.
A Celebration of Pamela’s life will be held on Tuesday June 24, 2025 at Living Faith Church, 69 Prospect Rd., Waterbury. Visitation will take place from 10am to 11 am at the church prior to services. Pam will be laid to rest immediately following services at New Pine Grove Cemetery, Waterbury.
