Nancy Ann (Spellman) Cipriano

Nancy Ann (Spellman) Cipriano,91, of Prospect CT, passed away peacefully February 8, 2026 at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family.  She was predeceased by her husband Robert Cipriano.

Nancy was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 23, 1934 to the late Donald and Dorothy (Hickey) Spellman.  She graduated from Waterbury Catholic High School and was retired from management at SNET.  She was a member of St. Anthony’s Parish, Prospect and a member of the Pioneers for SNET.  Nancy enjoyed playing cards, going to casinos, sitting in the sun, visiting with and hearing the latest news of her beloved grandchildren.

Nancy was a cherished mother to Karen Day and her husband Garrett Day of Kennewick, WA, Bobbie Bowman of W. Yarmouth, MA, Linda Delgado of Tallahassee, FL Mark Cipriano and his wife Sandra Cipriano of Wolcott and Donald Cipriano of Prospect.  Nancy also leaves her adoring eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, her nieces and nephews and her sister Barbara Regan of Waterbury who was a great comfort to her. Nancy is predeceased by her husband Bob, and her sister Carol Spellman Kemp. A special thank you to Mark and Sandy Cipriano for their loving care of our Mother as well as to the staff at the Village at East Farms for bringing her so much joy the last years of her life.

Arrangements:  Visitation: Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 5pm to 7pm at Prospect Memorial/ The Palmerie Family Funeral Home, 122 Waterbury Rd., Prospect.  Funeral services will be Friday, February 13, 2026 at 10 am at Prospect Memorial/ The Palmerie Family Funeral Home.  Burial will be at the convenience of the family.  Prospect Memorial is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements and to care for the Cipriano family during their time of grief and invites you share your favorite memories, photos and words of comfort, please visit prospectmemorial.com
