Marina Martins Magalhaes, age 71, of Roxbury passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer on April 11, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Serra Dos Aimorés, Minas Gerias, Brasil on March 27, 1955 to the late Roque Ribeiro De Magalhaes and Ubalina Martins Magalhaes.
Marina graduated from Escola de Ensino Médio Manoel da Duarte da Cunha em Pedro Canário, ES, Brasil. She immigrated to the United States in 1997. Marina worked as a Finishing Technician for Hallmark Woodworkers in Danbury and later as a Sales Associate for Kohl’s in Brookfield.
Marina is survived by her husband of 22 years, David J. Geyer of Roxbury. She leaves behind her daughter, Andreia Magalhaes and step-sons, David J. Geyer, Jr and Daniel A. Geyer; brothers Lourival Martins Magalhaes and George Martins Magalhaes; sisters Maria da Gloria Magalhaes Santos, Maria D’ajuda Martins Magalhaes, and Otília Martins de Magalhaes. Marina also leaves behind an extended family of brothers- and sisters-in-laws and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Ailton Martins Magalhaes.
The family would like to thank the staff at Praxair Cancer Center at Danbury Hospital and RVNA Home Health Hospice for the wonderful care they provided.
