Maria Christina Medina

Maria Christina Medina, 65, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023. She endured a 6-month journey, (which she fought fearlessly) awaiting a liver transplant, but could wait no longer. Maria was born February 1, 1958 in Puerto Rico to her parents Maria Medina and the late Juancindo Medina. Maria began her beautiful life with her late life-long partner, Otilio Roman. She was a faith-filled Pentecostal who cherished her family. She loved listening to music, watching Spanish soap operas, and shopping with her granddaughter. Her visual impairment never stopped her from looking her best as her nails, brows, and greys were always perfect. And like any amazing grandmother and mother, her cooking felt like home. Maria, “Mama”, lived for her adoring grandchildren. She leaves a legacy of love and devotion to her family. She will truly and forever be missed.

Maria leaves behind her loving mother Maria Medina. As well as her daughters Lissett Figueroa and her husband Danny Ortiz, Jessica and her husband Jesus Vazquez; and her son Marco Medina and his wife Ruth Vazquez. She also departs from her grandchildren Gloria, Keith, Marco, Jacob, Elsa, Pedro, Eric, Jesus, and Jessidiah. Along with her big group of loved siblings, 7 sisters and 2 brothers.
