Lisa Marie (Vincenzi) Vasquez

It is with heavy and broken hearts that we share the sudden passing of  beloved mother and  baby sister, Lisa (Vincenzi) Vasquez, 50, on November 27th, 2025. Thanksgiving was her favorite holiday. Just days before, Lisa underwent neck and spinal surgery, and her loss has left our family in shock and deep sorrow. Lisa was the heart of her family, a devoted mother to her four children and a loving grandmother. She also helped raise her grandson, Christopher Rodriguez. Her life was dedicated to caring for others both at home and in her career.   Lisa worked over 25 years in the nursing field, finally achieving her dream of becoming a nurse this past year. She was a strong, compassionate woman who always stood up for what was right and never hesitated to help those in need. Her colleagues at St. Mary's described her as a hard worker who did anything for anyone, always with professionalism and a smile. Lisa's perseverance and kindness touched everyone she met, and her sense of humor and warmth made everyone feel loved and valued.   Her passing is an unimaginable loss for her children, grandchildren, friends, and all who knew her. Lisa was a woman of devout Christian faith.  She loved to shop, cook, and work hard for family. Whatever it took, she always managed to take care of her 4 children and grandchildren.  She touched many lives; her compassion, selflessness and genuine love brought light to all those blessed to know her.

Left to cherish her love and honor her memory are Lisa’s children Jonathan Vincenzi, Thaddeus Goodman, Julian Goodman and Maiya Goodman all of Waterbury as well as her sisters Gina Vincenzi of Prospect and Carla and husband David Larocque of Wolcott and brother Anthony Vincenzi of Florida.  Lisa cherished her grandchildren Christopher and Avianna, they were her greatest joy.  Lisa also leaves many nieces, nephews and treasured friends.  Lisa was predeceased by her mother Jane (Spadola) Serra.

Funeral services for Lisa will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025 at 7pm at Prospect Memorial/ The Palmerie Family Funeral Home, 122 Waterbury Rd, Prospect.  Visitation will be held from 5pm until the time of the service.  Prospect Memorial/ The Palmerie Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements and to care for Lisa’s family throughout their grief journey.
