Linda Jean Sabella went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 16, surrounded by her loving husband and family. Born in 1953 in Arlington, MA, Linda’s life was marked by her love for the Lord, love for her family and free spirit. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Brien Sabella Sr. and her children Kristen, Tabitha, Brien Jr. (Megan), and Mariah (Miguel dos Santos).
Linda attended Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT where she met Brien Sr., and together they started a life in Prospect, CT where they lived for over four decades.
More than anything, Linda enjoyed worshiping Jesus, and was always an active member in church, teaching and encouraging young children in Sunday school. She was active in homeschooling all four of her children and founded a successful Homeschool Co-op in Prospect of more than 30 students. Linda was passionate about teaching, reading and nature. She loved literature, painting, and planting various beautiful flowers and vegetables in her large garden. Linda’s adventurous spirit would always enjoy hiking or biking with her lifelong husband, or simply accompanying him on a scenic car ride to pass time. Linda was also avid about hospitality and could always be seen around the holidays hosting numerous family events, cooking and preparing her home to make all feel warm and welcome. Before her passing, she was able to joyfully meet her two new grandchildren, Sonny dos Santos and Sophie Sabella.
Linda’s life is a testament to her commitment to loving the Lord and serving her family sacrificially. She was a beautiful, faith-filled woman who is dearly loved and missed by her husband and children, who take solace knowing she is finally with her heavenly Father.
