Linda Marie (LaDolce) Ryan

Linda Marie LaDolce Ryan, 76, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026, surrounded by love. Born on November 29, 1949, in Brooklyn, New York, Linda was raised with a warmth and strength that stayed with her throughout her life.

She later lived on Long Island before moving to Brattleboro, Vermont, where she graduated from Green Mountain High School. Linda eventually settled in Connecticut, residing in Westport and later Bethel, which she proudly called home.

Linda was predeceased by her beloved husband, Martin Ryan, and her parents, Josephine and Anthony LaDolce. She is survived by her brother, Paul LaDolce, and her cherished daughter, Katherine Ryan. She is also lovingly remembered by Katherine’s fiancé, Evan, whom Linda adored.

For 13 years, Linda faced cancer with extraordinary courage, grace, and resilience. She was a deeply loving, generous, and giving woman who embraced life with laughter, spontaneity, and an open heart. Linda loved to travel, welcomed new experiences, and met life’s challenges with unwavering positivity and strength. Her greatest joy came from time spent with friends and, above all, with her daughter, who was truly the center of her world.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and nurses at Yale New Haven Hospital’s Smilow Cancer Center for their exceptional care, dedication, and compassion. Their commitment and groundbreaking work sustained Linda for many years and meant more to her family than words can express.

Linda will be remembered for her strength, her joy for life, and the love she shared so freely with all who were fortunate enough to know her.
