Lillian Pickman Obituary

Lillian M. Pickman, 86, of Cheshire, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2025. She was born February 28, 1938 to the late Harry and Jenny Stern. Lillian now joins her late husband Donald of 51 years.

A graduate of Brooklyn College Lillian worked for the NYC Department of Social Services and Greenwood Press for many years. After retirement Lillian enjoyed filling her days with the company of her friends and doing her favorite hobbies. She was an active participant at the Cheshire Senior Center where she participated in many activities and going on trips. She was also a member of the ORT & Haddasah, a Jewish women’s organization.

Lillian enjoyed her “Sunday Morning Bagel/Breakfast Crew” and going to lunch with friends. She also liked playing mahjong, card games, knitting, and sharing her love of Broadway, music, and travel.

Lillian leaves behind to cherish her memory her two children, Jason Pickman and his wife Cathy and Justin Pickman, her grandchildren: Tyler Pickman, Katelyn Pickman, and Jocelyn Pickman, and her brother Bill Stern. Lillian is predeceased by her husband Donald and her brother Murray Stern.
