Leo Bolduc Obituary

Leo Joseph Bolduc, 78, of Naugatuck, passed away peacefully while surrounded by the love of his family on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Complete Care at Glendale.  He was the devoted husband of Joyce (Hanning) Bolduc, who would have celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary in July.  Born on June 27, 1944 in Waterbury, he was a son of the late Dorilla M. (Fortier) and Amedee J. Bolduc.

Leo was a motorcycle, truck and car enthusiast. For over 40 years, he enjoyed many days on the open road as a truckdriver and proud member of the Teamsters Union. After retirement, he and his wife Joyce covered thousands of miles on his classic 1971 Harley Davidson motorcycle where they attended Sturgis, Laconia, and many other bike weeks. He and Joyce also looked forward to taking trips to Mohegan Sun together to try their luck at the slot machines. Leo enjoyed working on cars and had beautifully restored a classic rust and cream 1956 Oldsmobile Rocket 88. Leo was also a big country music fan and you could count on Country 92.5 being on all his radios. Leo was heavily involved with his community -- As a member of the Over the Hill Gang Motorcycle Club, the Oldsmobile Club, the Prospect Car Club, the Fraternal Order of Eagles 640, and the Prospect Senior Center, he had amassed so many wonderful friends from all over.

As a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Leo cherished the time he spent with his family. “Pepere” was so proud of his grandchildren, they were the apple of his eye. Leo ruled the kitchen and loved to cook for his family; he was known especially for his pot roast and pork stuffing.
Leo had a big heart and was one of the most warm and generous people you’d ever meet. He would give the shirt off his back for a friend or stranger alike, and will be missed by all who knew him.

Left to cherish Leo’s memory is his wife Joyce; his daughter Sandra Bolduc-Mauch (Jay) of Naugatuck; his son Todd Bolduc of Harwinton; his step-daughter Rhonda Peters (Lance) of Seymour; his two brothers Normand Bolduc (Arlene) of Watertown and Roger Bolduc of Wolcott; his two sisters Anita Pilloise of Prospect and Monique Saucier (Norman) of Plantsville; his six grandchildren: Heather Bolduc (Kevin Hunter), Todd J. Bolduc, Jr., Kyle Bolduc, Cody Bolduc, Matthew Bolduc, and Lance Peters; as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and so many dear friends.

In addition to his parents, Leo is predeceased by his brother-in-law Frederick Pilloise.
