Lenet Louis Legerme

April 28, 1954 ~ April 28, 2021 (age 67)

Lenet Louis Legerme 67, passed away on Wednesday April 28,2021 at the Saint Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, Connecticut.

Lenet was born on April 28,1954, son of Julia M Hilair and Orelo Legerme. He was number seven of ten children.

Born in Haiti, Lenet was very popular in school. He was very well known in his class and also had a great love for soccer. He also was a tailor in his younger years. Lenet was closest to his Mother, Julia Hilair. He constantly spoke about his admiration for the way she cared for herself and her family. Lenet strived to reflect that in his life.

To begin his family life, he immigrated to America to continue to build his family with his dear wife, Gina Legerme. Eventually, his first born, Lougina Legerme and his wife, Gina Legerme joined him in Connecticut. Later, he had Julia who he named after his mother, and Emily who was named after his grandmother.

Lenet constantly worked hard to provide for his family. He greatly reflected the words found at 1 Timothy 5:8. He consistently prioritized the care of his wife and his three children; and worked very hard to provide for their needs.

Lenet began studying the Bible in 2020. He saw Jehovah’s hand is his life as well as in the lives of his family. His strong belief in Jehovah God his Friend, as well as the resurrection hope motivated him to remain consistent in his studies. Every Wednesday morning, before work, he studied the Bible with his dear friend, Lowie Rosco. When he couldn’t make his study, he made an effort to reschedule. Lenet spoke to his family about what he learned from his studies and had deep conversations about Jehovah’s hand in their lives. Lenet truly loved Jehovah God. He watched his children grow up in service to Jehovah. When he could, Lenet joined his family at memorials, congregation meetings, assemblies, and conventions. His favorite programs are the dramas. He was able to attend the baptism of two of his daughters, Lougina and Julia Legerme.

During the last week of his life, Lenet was able to listen to his favorite Kingdom Song. Song number 30 “My Father, My God and Friend”. Whenever Lenet heard or sung this song, tears came to his eyes. He knew Jehovah was by his side. He understood that Jehovah will remember all the love he’s shown.

Lenet was mostly seen in his work uniform; but he sure was sharp in his spiritual attire. He was very excited to be called Brother Legerme and always respected the work of the dear Brothers and Sisters. May we see him again on Paradise earth, in the new system.

Lenet was survived by his dear wife of 22 years, his three children, Lougina, Julia and Emily Legerme. He also was survived by his siblings Lucia, Zette and Renold. He was also survived by his nieces Gina, Patricia, Christina and many more. May he remain safe in Jehovah’s memory as we wait for the day that we see him again. Jehovah will not forget the love and hard work he’s shown.
