Laurie DiMeco Obituary

Laurie DiMeco passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family — her three sons, Bryan, John, and Joey, and her beloved boyfriend, friend companion, John Phelan.

Laurie grew up in Woburn, Massachusetts, where she spent her early years forming the strong family values and deep compassion that would guide her throughout her life. She spent the last 21 years in Prospect, Connecticut, a place she called home and where she built many lasting memories with her loved ones.

She is survived by her siblings, Debbie and Rebecca, and her brothers, Rich and Rob and John’s sister Julie Phelan. Laurie was a devoted mother and a proud grandmother to her five grandchildren, Isla, Leonardo, Giovanna, John Jr., and Ava, who brought her endless joy and pride

Laurie was a devoted mother, loving partner, and loyal friend whose kindness, strength, and warmth touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She will be remembered for her generous heart, unwavering support for her family, and the joy she brought into everyday moments. Laurie had a special way of making people feel welcomed, loved, and cared for, leaving lasting memories with all who crossed her path.

Laurie had a deep love for animals, plants, and nature. She adored elephants, dolphins, dogs, cats, and even raccoons, finding beauty and joy in all creatures big and small. She found peace in nature and happiness in caring for plants and the world around her. Her compassion extended not only to the people she loved, but also to the animals and natural beauty she cherished throughout her life.

Her greatest pride in life was her family. She cherished every moment spent with her sons and loved ones, always putting others first and offering comfort, encouragement, and unconditional love.
