Loving Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt and Friend
It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that the family of Kelly (Wannagot) Paturzo share the news of her sudden passing on Thursday, November 6, 2025. Kelly, 45, of Beacon Falls was born October 2, 1980 in Derby, a daughter of David Wannagot and Darlyne (Trantum) Wadhams. Her family was the center of her life, her three children Christopher, Anthony and Gabriella were the center of her heart and focus of her days.
Kelly loved babies, children, animals and Howard Stern and was well known for her love of pickles, chewing ice and always wearing one of her numerous pairs of sunglasses. Kelly was excited to begin a new job as a daycare assistant- a perfect fit for her nurturing nature.
Above all, she loved being a mom to her three children, who were the light of her life. Kelly will be remembered for her kindness, humor and the love she shared so freely with family and friends. She had a knack for turning ordinary moments into something special and made those around her feel loved and accepted.
Kelly leaves to cherish her love and memory her children Christopher (Jenna Mrosek) Paturzo of Prospect, Anthony (Christina Rodriguez) Paturzo of Waterbury, and Gabriella (Gabriel Braganca) Paturzo of Prospect as well as her beloved fur baby & sidekick Coco. She also leaves her parents Darlyne Wadhams and husband Rev Kimberly Wadhams of Wolcott, father David Wannagot and wife Potin Wey of Florida, as well as her significant other Michael Poniatowski of Beacon Falls and the father of her children Christopher Paturzo Sr. Kelly leaves her loving sister Kris Melninkaitis and husband Andy of Prospect and her half-sister Shannon O’Loughlin of Tolland as well as her cherished nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Kelly leaves so many friends, friends she adored and treasured.
