Julia R Burrows
July 25, 1948 ~ January 4, 2024 (age 75) 75 Years Old
Julia R. Burrows, of Naugatuck passed on to the gates of heaven while surrounded by the peace and love of her family at Griffin Hospital on January 4, 2024. Born July 25, 1948 in Bridgeport, CT, Julie was one of five children of the late Antonio and Genevieve (Janik) Chassé.
Julie brought her sunny disposition and hard-working ethic to each job she held and ultimately enjoyed her work. She started working at Carpenter Steel as assistant in metallurgy department and as a bookkeeper for most of her later career at Brown Brothers Furniture and lastly TIG-HITCO from where she retired.
Family brought her so much joy. She and her sisters had a fantastic adventure of discovery and awe as they traveled for three weeks through Alaska. Julie had a passion for animals. The Discovery Channel was her go to channel for programs to watch. Being an avid cat lover, her best buddy Xander was rather spoiled. Gardening was more than a hobby for Julie. She took pride in her flowers. White daisies were her favorite of all flowers. Julie was a joyful, gentle woman who treasured time with her daughter and family members and dear friends. Her love and legacy will be cherished always.
Julie is survived by her loving daughter Carolyn Burrows of Naugatuck, sisters Barbara (Robert) Hood of Md., Anita Kirk of Fl., and Margaret (Vincent) Casey of Ansonia as well as her brother Louis Chassé and wife Mary of Ma. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Julie was predeceased by her parents.
