Judy Dingle Obituary

Mrs. Judy A. Dingle, 61, a lifelong resident of Naugatuck, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on Friday, September 30, 2022. Judy was born at Saint Mary’s Hospital on May 17, 1961. The daughter of the late John G. and Doris (Lafontaine) Maroney.

It was at the wedding of her sister Kerri to Kevin Hayden that she met the love of her life, Francis Dingle, to whom she was married for 39 wonderful years. Together they grew a family with the birth of their daughter Amanda Dingle, followed by their son Jake Dingle. Judy was employed as a home health care aid since her early teenage years; being filled with the compassion to take care of others and the elderly her whole life. Judy also worked at Timex Watch Company for 11 years where she served as a union steward.

She was a proud American and lifelong resident of Naugatuck, loving the simple joys of small town life, like bumping into friends at the supermarket, going to fairs on the town green, and sharing a laugh with everyone at The Victorian Inn- Where she was able to practice her talent for never forgetting a name or a face.

Judy cared deeply for her friends, and always loved to host a party; especially by her poolside where she could soak up all the fun and the sun. She loved to celebrate holidays and would never pass up the opportunity to donate to a cause or toy drive.

She will be missed by her husband Francis Dingle, children Amanda and Jake Dingle, and is survived by her six siblings Linda Maroney, Sharon Maroney, Gale Maroney, Jim Maroney, Patti Maroney, Kerri Hayden, and her many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank all those who loved Judy. A celebration of her life will be held in the future, after the family has had time to mourn. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Toys for Tots, or we ask that you participate in your local toy drive this holiday season.
