John William Terry

John William Terry, 76, of Prospect passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 14, 2023.  He was the loving partner of Edwina Tracy for over 20 years.  John was born November 21, 1946 in Bridgeport, a son of the late Harold W. Terry and Retta (Egan) Terry.

John proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam war.  He was stationed in Thailand while working for the Pentagon for much of his assignment.  After his honorable discharge he worked for Amphenol as a cable splicer.  John was a fitness enthusiast and religiously worked out at the gym.  He enjoyed dancing, was a Duckpin bowler and a member of the Prospect Senior Center and the American Legion and VFW Post 8075. John spent many wonderful mornings having lively conversations regaling good friends with his stories at Dunkin Donuts. He and Edwina enjoyed traveling and casino adventures.  John was an animal lover and he now joins his precious dog “Baby” in the afterlife.

Left to cherish John’s love and memory besides his loving partner Edwina is his son James Terry and his partner Debra Kloss of Arkansas. 

Friends and family are invited to visit with John’s family on Monday, April 24, 2023 at 4:00 PM at Prospect Memorial / The Palmerie Family Funeral Home, 122 Waterbury Rd., Prospect.  A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 4:30 PM.  Military Honors will be accorded at the conclusion of services.  Prospect Memorial/ The Palmerie Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with services.  You are invited to share a memory or photo and your words of comfort and support on John’s Tribute Wall at www.prospectmemorial.com
