Jeffrey Saddig Obituary

Jeffrey Saddig, 56, of Prospect, passed away December 22, 2024 with his loving family by his side. He was born April 6, 1968 to the late Robert and Jadwiga Saddig. Jeff was the beloved husband to Lisa (Beaudoin) Saddig of 23 years.

Jeffrey was a devoted husband, father, and friend. He was a man with a heart of gold and always strong and selfless. He gave back to his community by helping many charitable organizations from food drives to giving backpacks to kids to “stuff a cruiser”. He worked as a police officer in Guilford, CT for 10 years and then became an investigator working on the TJ Maxx task force. He was good at what he did and loved doing it.

Jeff was not only an avid watcher of his favorite teams like the Miami Dolphins, the New York Yankees, the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team, and the Florida Gators, but he coached sports as well. He was a baseball coach, basketball coach, and football coach for the Region 16 Recreational Leagues and served as the Vice President of the Football Association for the Junior Hawks.

Above all, Jeff cherished his time with his family and friends. He found solace in vacationing in Florida and taking walks on the beach there or anywhere, going to the gym with his son RJ, and being with his dogs.

Jeff leaves behind to cherish his love and legacy besides his wife Lisa, his children: RJ Saddig and Nicholas Saddig, his cousin who was like a brother: Mark and his wife Terri Ptak, his sister-in-law Lori Corbett, Jim Corbett, his nieces and nephews: Ericka Corbett, May Kemper, Raina Kemper, Jennifer Corbett, Hannah Kemper, Stephen and his wife Krystina Corbett, Abs Corbett, Eliah Corbett, Callum Corbett, and Gavi Corbett, his aunt Helen Ptak, his close friends: Kenny and son Kyle, Joan, and Kevin, and the Hughes, Ministros, Cavallos, Scrapatis, Dapontes, and Knobels.

Jeff’s family would like to specially thank the Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center, the caring nurses there, and Dr. Vadim Zarubin, all for their exceptional care in the last months.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Vincent DePaul Mission of Waterbury Shelter at svdpmission.org/general-donation, in honor of Jeff’s charity work and contributions.
