Javier Erasmo Arroyo Sr., 54, of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on May 8, 2026. His sudden passing leaves a profound sadness in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Javier was a hardworking truck driver whose dedication and strong work ethic were admired by many. More importantly, he was a loving and compassionate man who placed his family above all else. He was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need, always offering kindness, support, and generosity without hesitation.
He found happiness in life’s simple pleasures, especially spending time at the beach and making memories with those he loved most. Javier will be remembered for his warm heart, his loyalty to family and friends, and the love he shared so freely.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved children, Javier Arroyo Jr. (Artemia), Kendall Sciola, Alexander Arroyo and Esteban Detanto; his treasured grandchildren, Kendall Sciola Jr. and Landon Sciola; his brother, Alexander Arroyo; and his niece, Alexandria Arroyo. Javier was predeceased by his parents, Erasmo and Neva Arroyo, and his sister, Anne Marie Arroyo.
Though his time here was far too short, the love Javier gave and the memories he created will remain forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
All services will be held privately. Prospect Memorial/ The Palmerie Family Funeral Home is honored to assist the Arroyo family throughout this difficult time and invites you to share your condolences on Javier’s tribute wall on this website.
