Gregory John Frederick

Gregory John Frederick, 58, husband of Cheri-Ann Frederick, passed away peacefully in the arms of his beloved wife as he slept on November 3, 2023. After beating multiple myeloma in 2012, he succumbed to stomach cancer. Greg fought incredibly hard and never gave up right to the end. Greg was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and had a work ethic like no other. Besides his wife Cheri-Ann, he is survived by his parents JoAn Frederick and James Frederick (Debbie), his sisters Lori (Dawn) and Susan Frederick, and nephews Ethan and Brody. Greg’s children, Jennifer Frederick (Artie), grandson Jase, Kyle (Bianca) Frederick, Justin (Kiely), Josh, Brooke, Jake, and grandson Theodore Fournier. His adored fur babies, Zoe (chocolate eye), Bella (Bella Boops), and Missy (bowl in a China shop). His mother and father-in-law Darlene and Don Earley. His aunts and uncles, Judy Bennett, Sandy and George Frederick, Audrey Hollman, and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his infant sister Jennifer and grandparents, Jonh and Mildred Sullivan, and Francis and Mildred Frederick.

Greg was a 1983 graduate student at Platt High School in Meriden and was captain of the baseball team. He coached for several years at Cheshire youth baseball as well as youth Hockey and was known as Coach Fred or Coach Fry. Greg loved his sports whether it was watching or playing baseball from the age of 8. He was an avid Boston Bruins fan and Yankee’s fan.
