Gladys Ferrer Gotay

Gladys Ferrer Gotay, age 95, passed away peacefully at home on January 30, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 20, 1930, in Peñuelas, Puerto Rico, to the late Rafael and Cristina Ferrer.

Gladys was a devoted homemaker whose talents filled her home with warmth and love. She excelled at cooking and baking, and her hands were rarely still- always crocheting, knitting, or cross-stitching something special for someone she loved. She had a joyful spirit and a deep love for dancing and singing, bringing smiles wherever she went. Sweet and happy by nature, Gladys found simple pleasures in watching cartoons and collecting baby dolls, treasures that reflected her gentle heart.

A lifelong animal lover, Gladys shared her life with many beloved pets over the years, including cats, dogs, birds, and even a pet pig- each one cared for with affection. Above all, she cherished relaxing and spending time with her family, whom she loved deeply. She was a beloved mother and grandmother whose kindness and presence will be dearly missed.

Gladys is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Mario Agustin Lopez Gotay.

She is survived by her 9 daughters and sons, several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Gladys was the heart of a large and loving family who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
