Beloved Father, Grandfather, Brother and Friend

Frederick N. Pucci, 80, of Prospect and formerly of Hamden, passed away on April 27, 2026, after a long illness. He was recently widowed by his beloved wife, Christina Langley Pucci, his soulmate.

Frederick was born on August 29, 1945, in the Bronx, New York, to the late Joseph and Marie (Petrucco) Pucci. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, a service he held in great pride throughout his life.  Following his military service, Frederick dedicated over 40 years to SNET, where he worked his way up to management until his retirement in 2007. He was known for his strong work ethic and commitment throughout his career.

A skilled craftsman, Frederick had a passion for working with his hands. He was especially known for restoring wooden boats and classic Corvettes. He found great joy on the water, spending time boating with his family along the Connecticut shoreline aboard his favorite boat, the “Egg-Sighted.” He also enjoyed playing the guitar, gardening, and landscaping.

Fred’s family was the center of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and brother. He is survived by his children, Jeanine Civitelli of Prospect, and Joseph Pucci and his wife Suzy of Prospect and his cherished grandchildren, Dominic Civitelli, and Nicholas and Benjamin Pucci, and additionally his brother, Joseph Pucci and his wife Ruth of New York; and his brother-in-law, Mel Wells of Long Island.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Prospect Memorial / The Palmerie Family Funeral Home, 122 Waterbury Road, Prospect. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 7:00 p.m., with Military Honors at 7:30 p.m.  Fred will be laid to rest at a later date at the State Veterans Cemetery.
