Frances A Ward

Frances A. Ward, 70, widow of her beloved husband Howard M. Ward, died peacefully December 5, 2023 at Cook Willow after a long illness. Frances was born August 18, 1953 to the late Ralph and Anna (Braucci) Samela.

Frances worked for Southbury Training School as office personnel and also worked as a 911 dispatcher. She loved all things Disney and especially Eeyore. She also enjoyed trips to the beach and the color purple.

Besides her parents, Frances is predeceased by her husband Howard and her son Alan Hrabiza. She leaves behind her aunt Roseann Meyers and life-long friend Hilda Kapral, along with many cousins including the Braucci’s, Belfiore’s, Curri’s and Samela’s.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 11-1 pm at Prospect Memorial Funeral Home/The Palmerie Family Funeral Home, 122 Waterbury Rd., Prospect, CT 06712. A celebration of life will be held following visitation at 1 PM.
