Farrell K. Boyce, 82, of Cheshire passed away peacefully while surrounded by the love of his family on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Midstate Medical Center. He was the devoted husband of Frances (Konareski) Boyce for over 59 years. Born August 21, 1940, Farrell was a son of the late William Boyce Sr. and Evelyn (Smallman) Boyce.
Farrell proudly served his country in the Navy after his graduation from Amity High School. He worked as a rubber and polyurethane technician for Armstrong/ Pirelli Tire and later for Uniroyal before his retirement. He loved cars and was a member of a Corvette Club for many years.
More than anything, Farrell loved his family. Spending time sailing on his Hobie Cat with his three children in West Haven made many fond memories. He enjoyed bird watching and taught his family many of the species from his collection of books. Later in life his granddaughters were the apple of his eye. They had many laughs on the way to and from school. They adored their grandfather.
Left to treasure his love and memory besides his wife Frances are his children: Lynn Boyce of Wa., Kevin Boyce of Cheshire and Tricia Kusmit and her fiancé Frank Brancato of Cheshire. He also leaves his cherished granddaughters Rileigh and Sydney Kusmit as well as his brothers William Boyce of SC and Michael Boyce of Watertown and his sister Susan Wydra of Milford. He is predeceased by his sister Christina (Penny) Butler.
