Elizabeth Baranauskas Obituary

Elizabeth “Beth” M. Baranauskas, 79, of Waterbury, passed away May 11, 2024. She was born November 1, 1944, daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Sheehy.

Beth graduated from Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing attending from 1964-1967, and had served as the class president. With a total class size of only 23 girls, she remained very close with her graduating peers and always made an effort to stay in touch.

Beth had a great sense of humor and was known to her family as a practical joker. She enjoyed reading and loved listening to the songs of Michael Bublé. Beth was an avid bird watcher and was a member of the National Audubon Society. Her granddaughter Lexi was her life and her world, she meant everything and more to Nanny.

Beth leaves behind to cherish her memory her children: Lisa Lopez and her husband Steven, Cathy Jenkins, and Rob Baranauskas and his wife Sara, her brother Brian Sheehy, her granddaughter Alexis Baranauskas, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Beth is predeceased by her parents John and Elizabeth, her brothers Robertson and John Sheehy, and her husband Robert James Baranauskas.

Visitation will be held for Beth on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 9 to 11am at Prospect Memorial/The Palmerie Family Funeral Home, 122 Waterbury Rd., Prospect, CT 06712. Burial will take place at All Saints Cemetery, 203 Spring Lake Rd., Waterbury, CT 06706, following visitation.
