Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Veteran
Edward G. Dauphinais Jr. of Prospect, passed away peacefully while enfolded in the love of his family on September 27, 2025. Ed met the love of his life Sandra (Perillo) Dauphinais at the Music Box. They celebrated over 57 blessed years together. Born November 10, 1946 in Waterbury, he was the only son of the late Edward and Dorothy (LaRosa) Dauphinais.
Ed proudly served his country as a Corporal in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. During his time of service, Sandy prayed daily to St. Anthony for Ed’s safe return. After his honorable discharge from the service, he began his occupational journey as a SNET employee. Over the 36 years of his career, he excelled to the position of Executive Director of Computer Operations.
Never one to be idle, Ed was a talented master of woodworking, making furniture, golf clubs and doing carpentry projects on his home. The custom gazebo and deck are built to precision. His
zest for knowledge included learning to cook and bake which, of course, he mastered and lovingly fed his family. He also loved fishing, golf and making wine with his friends. Ed enjoyed dancing and music.
Family was everything to Ed. He loved teasing his sisters and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Becoming a grandfather was the icing on the cake. Papa and Sydney shared a very special bond.
Left to cherish his love and memory besides his loving wife Sandy are his devoted daughter Joelle Conley of Plantsville, loving son Scott Dauphinais of Wolcott, and his cherished granddaughter Sydney Conley. He also leaves his sisters Joanne Vacalebre of Naugatuck and Susan Rizzuti and husband Louis of FL as well as his nieces and nephews.
