Doreen (Porto) Santoli

WATERBURY – On Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021, Doreen L. Porto Santoli, loving wife and mother, passed away peacefully at age 53.

Doreen was born on March 8, 1967 in Waterbury, to Richard and Geraldine Porto. She was married to the love of her life, Frank Santoli, for 28 years and raised two amazing daughters. She worked at Showcase Realty for 30 years.

Doreen’s passion was her family. Her daughters, Allison and Ashley, were her whole world. She was proud of her Italian cultural heritage and shared her traditions with her daughters.

She was a music lover and an avid Stevie Nicks fan and loved to entertain and host parties. Spending time with her family in Cape Cod and camping in New York brought her great joy.

Doreen was the first person to help whoever was in need, whether it was family, friends or stray animals. She will always be remembered for her kind and compassionate spirit.

Doreen was predeceased by her father, Richard Porto; her stepdad George Hankey; and her brother, David Porto.

She is survived by her husband Frank Santoli; daughters Allison and Ashley; mother Geraldine (Porto) Hankey; brother Michael Porto and his wife Diane; sister-in-law Suzanne Porto; sister Deborah Porto-Velez and her husband Jaime; sister Carol Wilton and her husband Paul; and several nieces and nephews.

The Santoli family will be having a private memorial service.
