Diane Marie Riccardi

Diane Marie Riccardi, 81, fell asleep in death on December 14, 2025. Born January 30, 1944 a daughter of the late Jesse and Lucille (Sipala) Riccardo, Dianne had a wonderful childhood.  She enjoyed a close relationship with her parents and brother Michael.  Despite being deaf, Dianne excelled in academics and graduated with honors from the American School for the Deaf in Hartford, CT.  After graduation she worked for the Hartford Police department for over 30 years, having received many accolades for her work and dedication. 

In 2019, she dedicated her life and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s witnesses.  Diane was a member of the West Hartford Sign Language Congregation where she remained faithful until she fell asleep in death.  Her infectious smile and warm hugs brought comfort to all.  She enjoyed watching black and white films as well as 90’s sitcoms.  Her greatest joy was time spent in service and community with her spiritual brothers and sisters.  Diane leaves to cherish her memory her sister in law Joanne Riccardi, many other family members, her caregiver and friend Debbie Williams husband Tyrone and their daughter Tiffany as well as a host of spiritual brothers and sisters.  She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Michael.
