Diane A. Guillet age 78 was born in Staffordshire, England on 07/11/1948. She went to be with the Lord on 05/01/2026. She was predeceased by her mother and father Michael and Felicia Zogal of Derby. They originated from Poland.
Diane graduated from Derby High School and went on to Nursing School. She later received her Master’s degree from Southern Connecticut State University.
She loved Nursing and helping others. Her first assignment was at Waterbury Hospital for 20 years. Her job included holding and rocking babies who needed it for several reasons. After earning her Master’s degree in Communicable Diseases, she went on to work at The Naugatuck Valley Health District as Associate Director for 15 Years, then later Griffin Hospital for 10 years where she worked for the Community Health Department. She loved sewing, quilting, crochet and knitting. When Diane was younger she was a Majorette Baton Twirling Gal, enjoyed gardening, and playing the piano. Her favorites were playing Waltzes.
Diane and her husband, Michael Renee Guillet Sr, lived in Beacon Falls where they raised their children: Michael Jr, Mark and Laura. Diane was a wonderful mother. Her blessings were multiplied as her children married and had children of their own. Her grandchildren were the joy in her heart.
She leaves to cherish her love and memory her children: Michael Guillet Jr., Mark Guillet and his wife Veronica and Laura Ross and her husband Greg as well as her daughter in law Paula. She also leaves behind Brother Richard Zogal and her grandchildren: Victoria and husband Nathan Larowe, Alexandria and husband Zak Bertrand, Jacquelyn and Husband Nick Bizewski NC , and Danny Guillet as well as four Great Grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life service is planned for the future. Prospect Memorial/ The Palmerie Family Funeral Home is honored to assist the Guillet family during this time of grief and invites you to share your words of comfort on Diane’s tribute wall on this website.
