Beloved Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Friend

Debra Lynn Martin, 69, of Bristol passed away unexpectedly November 9, 2025 at her home.  Born March 6, 1956 in Torrington, Deb was the only daughter of the late Robert L. Martin and Mary (Grassi) Martin.  Family was the center of Deb’s life, her children Christopher Boutot, Matthew Boutot and Erin Williams were blessed to have such a wonderful and caring mother.  Her grandchildren were the light of her life.

Deb was a vivacious, loving, and devoted mother who absolutely adored her grandchildren. She enjoyed visiting wineries with friends, crafting, music, and attending concerts. Known for her signature leopard and zebra prints, Deb’s fun-loving spirit and unique style made her unforgettable. Although not ordinarily an animal lover, she cherished her grand-puppies deeply. Deb also loved making homemade salsa and spending time searching for treasures at tag sales.

Deb is survived by her three children: Christopher and his wife Crystal Boutot of Milldale; Matthew Boutot of Southington; and her daughter Erin Williams and husband John of North Carolina. She also leaves behind her brothers Scott and his wife Brenda Martin of Prospect, and Thomas and his wife Gina Martin of Oxford. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, she spent countless joyful hours with them. They are Easton Boutot, Maxwell Williams, Lucas Williams, and Aiden and Arya Boutot. She also leaves her close friends who were just like family, especially her best friend of over 40 years, Debbie Copeland and her partner Robert Schott.  Deb was predeceased by her parents.

Funeral services for Deb will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Prospect Memorial / The Palmerie Family Funeral Home, 122 Waterbury Road, Prospect. Burial will immediately follow at Mount Saint Peter’s Cemetery, 219 New Haven Avenue, Derby, CT.

Friends and family are invited to share memories and visit with the Martin family on Monday, November 17, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
