David Marlak Obituary

David M. Marlak, 65, of Beacon Falls, formerly of Prospect, entered into eternal rest on May 3, 2025.He was the father of Sarah Capuano and Anthony Marlak. Born December 8, 1959 in Waterbury, he was the son of the late George and Donna (Purdy) Marlak. Dave was an excellent builder, his skill unsurpassed. His dedication to building precision and design can be seen in both residential and business buildings in Waterbury and the surrounding towns. Dave took pride in his work and could build anything with his strong hands. While he was a man of few words he showed how he loved others by either helping fix broken things; like cabinets and such or putting things together, especially for his children! He was always busy and had trouble sitting still. He and his son had many great memories tinkering around in his auto detailing shop. Other passions he had were golfing and skiing, while always maintaining great love for animals of all kinds.

Left to honor his love and memory are his son Tony Marlak and daughter Sarah and husband Massimo Capuano. His grandchildren Anthony David II and Cayden Marlak and Valentina and Massimo Capuano, all of whom he loved dearly. He also leaves his sister Tanya and husband Rick Sage. Dave was predeceased by his parents. In keeping with Dave’s love of the outdoors, Celebration of Life Services will take place June 21, 2025 at 11 am at the Prospect Memorial Funeral Home Serenity Grounds, 122 Waterbury Rd., Prospect. Prospect Memorial/ The Palmerie Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with all arrangements and to care for the Marlak family during this difficult time.
