David F. Mangini

David F. Mangini, 77, of Wolcott, passed away June 23, 2024. David was born January 29, 1947 to the late Ralph and Elaine Mangini. He was the devoted partner of Jean Wells for 45 years.

He was our Poppy and we will miss him immensely. He was funny, kind and had a special connection to animals.  We are heartened to think of him being reunited with his dogs, Baby and Max. Pop was a dreamer, a fixer, and a creative gardener. Pop was always at the stove, cooking up something delicious. In addition to cooking, baking and gardening; one of his favorite activities was heading out to Harkness for night fishing.  He had a deep respect for the beauty of the natural world and was always up for a cup of coffee.  We will carry all the best parts of him in our souls and seek magic and wonder in the everyday. 

David leaves behind his partner Jean of Wolcott, his children: Marilyn Mangini and David A. Mangini, both of Wolcott, his siblings: Ralph Mangini and Mary Ann Franco, both of Florida, his beloved grandson Daniel Liberty Mangini of Wolcott, and his best friend Larry Spadola of Naugatuck, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brothers John Mangini and Billy Mangini.
