Dana Paiva, 61, (also known as Dana Schomburg) passed away at home on February 28, 2025. He was born on May 24, 1963 in New Haven, a son of the late Roberta Epstein and Alfred R. Paiva Jr.
Dana graduated from Hamden High School in 1982 and went on to attend The Career Institute studying Automotive Technology at in West Haven. In 2011 he pursued higher education yet again and graduated as a Computer Network Technologist from Branford Hall Career Institute. As an entrepreneur, Dana had also started a successful business called “Advanced Painting + Home Renovation”.
He was a dedicated son that cared for his mother Roberta for 14 years. When not working or planning his next great business venture, Dana enjoyed music and video games. He loved his pet cats and above all, had a great love for his family.
Dana leaves behind to cherish his love and memory: his daughter Taylor Prince, son Ashton Loyd, his sisters Clarissa Paiva and Dannielle Cureton, brothers Ronald Paiva and Brian Arotsky, and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister Desiree Paiva, his parents, and his wife, Tricia M. Paiva.
