Dale Irene (O’Bar) Beaudry, 72, passed away on May 20, 2026. Born on July 4, 1953, in Waterbury, Connecticut, Dale was the beloved daughter of the late Cecil and Madeline O’Bar.
Dale spent her life in Prospect and Hamden, Connecticut, where she built a legacy of kindness, compassion, and service to others. A high school graduate, she dedicated her working years to a variety of service-oriented professions, most notably as a home health care aide. Caring for others was not simply a job for Dale; it was her calling. Throughout her life, she selflessly cared for family members, friends, neighbors, and those in need, including her parents during their final years and the children of relatives and friends.
Dale expressed her love through acts of service. Whether she was baking something special, running errands, preparing meals, helping with appointments, or simply showing up when someone needed support, she found countless ways to make life easier and brighter for those around her. She took great pride in her home, lovingly decorating for every season and holiday, tending to her property, and nurturing the flowers and gardens she adored.
Those who knew Dale will remember her as devoted, loving, charismatic, persuasive, forgiving, generous, and passionate. She possessed a remarkable ability to connect with people and could strike up a friendship with anyone she met. Her warmth and natural charisma drew people to her, creating lasting bonds wherever she went. This special magnetism lives on through her youngest son, David, and her beloved grandchildren, Mateo and Gianina.
Dale was predeceased by her parents, Cecil and Madeline O’Bar; her sisters, Brenda and Regina; and her sons, Brian Digliani, Steven Digliani, and David Digliani.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Digliani and his wife, Lena; her cherished grandchildren, Mateo and Gianina; her brothers, Cecil O’Bar, Dana O’Bar (her fraternal twin), and Steven O’Bar; as well as many extended family members and dear friends whose lives were enriched by her love and friendship.
In the last decade of her life, Dale’s greatest joy was being “Nana” to her “bug,” Mateo, and her “girlfriend,” Gia. She was their biggest supporter, fiercest advocate, and most devoted grandmother. Nothing brought her greater happiness than spending time with her two “babies,” celebrating their accomplishments, and showering them with love. The bond they shared was immeasurable, and she will be deeply and profoundly missed by both of them.
Dale’s life was defined by her unwavering devotion to others. Her kindness, generosity, and loving spirit touched countless lives and will continue to be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 122 Waterbury Road, Prospect, CT 06712.
Though her presence will be greatly missed, the love she shared and the lives she touched will remain a lasting tribute to a life well lived.
