Constantina Mandrozos Obituary

It is with great sadness and heartbreak that we announce the passing of Constantina “Connie” Mandrozos, who passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home on May 3, 2025, at the age of 53.

Born in Magoula, Greece, and raised in Norwalk, Connecticut, Connie made her home in Farmington, CT, where she dedicated her life to her son and her work. A courageous soul from the very beginning, Connie survived childhood cancer at the tender age of five. In the past several years, she battled breast cancer with extraordinary strength and grace, never letting it overshadow her deep love for life and her role as a mother.

Connie devoted her career to helping others as a Behavioral Therapist, working with children on the autism spectrum. Her compassion and empathy left a lasting impact on the lives of the children and families she served. Her heart extended to animals as well, especially dogs, whom she cared for deeply including her own two rescued dogs, Rosie and Benji, who were a special part of her heart and life.

Above all else, Connie was a loving and devoted mother. Her 13-year-old son, Colby Mandrozos, was the center of her world and her greatest joy. Her unwavering love, guidance, and warmth will live on through him.

She is survived by her beloved son Colby; her mother, Eleni Mandrozos of Norwalk; her siblings Georgia Mandrozos of Norwalk, Eftihia Mandrozos of Naugatuck, and Gus Mandrozos of Norwalk; her niece, Samantha Viele; nephews, Ethan Viele and Gus Mandrozos Jr., as well as, aunts, several cousins and many friends who cherished her dearly. Her absence will be felt profoundly by all who knew and loved her, as she joins in heaven her father, Theodore Mandrozos, her grandparents, many aunts, uncles, and cousins who preceded her. She is also reunited with her two treasured dogs, Violet and Boomer, who were eagerly awaiting her at the gates of Rainbow Bridge.

There will be no funeral service as per Connie’s wishes. In place of and in accordance with Greek Orthodox tradition, there will be a 40-day memorial in her honor on Sunday, June 22nd, at 11:00 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Norwalk, CT. May her memory be eternal.
