Christina Lisa Troy

Christina Lisa Troy, 56, of Naugatuck, passed away peacefully April 7, 2025 while enfolded in the love of her family at the Vitas unit of St. Mary’s Hospital.  Born March 9, 1969 in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of the late James Hoffman and Judith Brutkowski Hoffman.  Tina loved with all her heart, smiled from the depths of her soul and cracked more than a few great jokes.  Her family was her center.  And of course, she was the crafting queen, her hands busy creating imaginative décor.

Family was Tina’s raison d’etre, her heart.  She leaves to cherish her love and memory: her daughter Ashley Kopchyak and son James Troy Jr, both of Naugatuck, her sisters Ali (Rodney) Davis of NY and Chrissy (Bruce) Reynolds of Prospect, and her brothers Jason Hoffman of Seymour and Brian (Nancy Parker) Overton of Seymour.  She also leaves her former spouses Adam Kopchyak and James Troy Sr of Naugatuck, her loving stepmother Elaine Hoffman of Seymour, Uncle Donny Brutkowski of Milford and cousins Jeramia and Sherry who were very close to her and her nieces and nephews whom she adored: Ari, Jason II, Bradley, Riley, Charley, Joseph and Karli. Tina loved animals. Her sidekick pup, Bentley, was her best snuggle buddy and couch-mate.  Tina is predeceased by her parents and her niece Chelsea Davis.

 Most assuredly, Tina is in heaven with a good book in her hands, her beach chair settled at the ocean’s edge and the plans for her next craft project in her beach bag. Rock the heavens with your smile Tina and shine down on those you love.

Friends and family are invited to share their love and support with Tina’s family on Thursday, April 17, 2025 from 5pm to 6:30pm at Prospect Memorial/ The Palmerie Family Funeral Home, 122 Waterbury Rd., Prospect.  A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 6:30pm.  Prospect Memorial/ The Palmerie Family Funeral Home is honored to care for Tina and support her family throughout their grief journey.  You are invited to share your favorite photos, memories and condolences on Tina’s tribute wall on this website
