Charles Joseph Anderson, 58, of Naugatuck, passed away on January 20, 2021, due to complications of Covid-19, at Waterbury Hospital.
Charles J. Anderson was born in Seymour to Arthur H. Anderson II and Ruby L. Anderson on January 14, 1963. He graduated from Naugatuck High School. He married Gloria Berrios on April 17, 1993 in Waterbury. He worked as a Printer for both Rondo and Graphic Image for many years. In his younger years, Charlie was in both a Softball League and a Bowling League. Charles, Charlie, Chuck, Chuckwalla or Choll as he was lovingly nicknamed by both family and friends, called Honey by his wife and Grampa by his grandchildren. He was truly a very sweet, loving, caring and giving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who loved to make us all laugh. He had a beautiful spirit and loved God. He was an avid sports lover, and had always been a Philadelphia Eagles and San Diego Padres fan. He would call his nephew, Robert, every day to talk about sports. He loved to wear his baseball hats and sports jerseys.
He loved family get togethers where he could hang out with his wife, children, grandkids, brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews to watch football, wrestling, or baseball, and play cards, video games, or board games.
There will be no memorial services held, at the wishes of Charles, the family will celebrate his life, as he would want them to, at a later time when the weather is nicer and a larger gathering can be held without Covid concerns.
Charles J. Anderson is preceded in death by his father, Arthur H. Anderson II, his mother, Ruby L. Anderson and his oldest sister, Linda J. Thompson.
